Vacancy of Chowkidar in High Court of Punjab & Haryana

High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh has invited online applications for the recruitment of Chowkidars for the establishment. There are total 50 no. of vacancies.

Pay Scale: The pay and allowance of the selected candidate will be as per the latest rules of the Court.

Last Date: Last date to apply for this post is 09.01.2023

Age: The age of applicants for all the categories should not be less than 18 years and more than 35 years as on 09.01.2023. However, for the applicants belonging to Ex-serviceman category, upper age limit is relaxed as follows:

Ex-Servicemen by number of years equals to his defence service plus 3 years. The candidates who had earlier applied for and also attended the Interview for the post of Chowkidar against the Advertisement No. RB-IV-10/2016 and whose application fee along with deemed travelling expenses were refunded shall be given the benefit of age relaxation, however, such candidates shall have to apply afresh by depositing the requisite fees.

QUALIFICATION

The applicant must have passed Middle Standard or its equivalent from a recognized School Education Board/Institution. The applicant should fulfill all the eligibility conditions of age, qualification etc. on the last date of online submission of applications i.e. 09.01.2023

MODE OF SELECTION:

The Candidate shall have to take online written test (Computer Based).Test of 100 marks shall be conducted comprising of 50 multiple choice questions (2 marks each) pertaining to General Knowledge, General Awareness and Current affairs with no negative marking. The duration of the test will be 90 minutes. The objective type paper shall be only qualifying in nature. The merit of shortlisting (Computer Based Test) shall be prepared on the basis of normalized marks (refer to para no. 09 of the detailed advertisement for details on normalization of marks). Merely qualifying in objective type paper will not give any right to the applicant to participate in interview. The candidates equivalent to 10 times (Category wise) of the advertised vacancies (in order of merit) would be shortlisted for the Interview. If two or more candidates are having equal marks to the last shortlisted candidate called for interview, then all such candidates will also be called for interview. The interview shall be of 50 marks and the select list shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the interview.
