Retain Government Accommodations After Transfer/Retirement Of Government Emplovees in Haryarna

Haryana Government has issued instructions regarding retaining of Government accommodations after transfer/retirement of
Government emplovees in Haryarna. According to instructions, it has come to the notice of State Government that some Government employees do not vacate the Government Accommodation after their retirement/transfer and try to get extension of Government accommodation beyond rules on one pretext or another.

Further, some allotees retain their Government Accommodation despite having a house in their own or in their spouse name in the same city or in tricity in case of Chandigarh/Panchkula. It has also been observed that some allottees wrongly retain Government accommodation after the age of 58 years claiming their age of superannuation to be 65 years because of the earlier Notification(s) issued by Health Department bearing No.25/18/2016-6HB1 dated 21.11.2016 and 6.7.2017 that have since been suppressed on 1.9.2021.

Therefore, after careful consideration it has been decided that no relaxation will be given in the Rule 47 of Haryana Civil Services (Allowances to Government Employees) Rules, 2016 for retention of Government accommodation in the following cases:

(I) If the allottee has a house in his/her own or spouse’s name in the city where his/her Government Accommodation is located or in the tricity of Chandigarh/Panchkula.

(Il) No person shall retain a Government accommodation after the age of 58 years by virtue of the Notifications dated 21.11.2016 and 6.7.2017 that have since been superseded on 1.9.2021.
